So, I have to vent about something...
Recently, I've noticed a "trend" with some of my most recent posts. Specifically the comments. Now, I don't mind not getting a single comment on them. That's fine. But whenever I DO get a comment, it's a RARITY when it's someone who genuinely expresses their opinion or enjoyment of the post.
Want to know what it is 95 percent of the time?
"Hi"
"Can we talk?"
"Can you do a request for me?"
The last one specifically irks me the most. ESPECIALLY since I did a whole damn journal explaining my situation with this a long while ago. However just recently, I posted this image for a friend of mine:
Now, this was a request. But here's the thing: As I said, I only do requests for personal and mutual friends and acquaintances. They share similar ideas and interests and I've had enough time to get to know them. So naturally, when he gave me an idea for a request, I said, "Y'know what? Me and my art friend will work on it some time later!" and sure enough we did it.
You can't see it on the page now, but just a few minutes ago some "nice kid", left a comment that simply said the following: "I REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT A REQUEST"
No comment about the actual art, no input, no nothing. Just a childish demand for art.
Now, I'm going to keep his username anonymous, I removed the "comment" and I have blocked him. But the point is, I am not going to have my buddy and I dedicate time to fulfilling a request for some random user I have no connection with, no interests with, and just don't know much about. I even looked at their profile and it doesn't help that they have a track record for asking for stuff constantly.
This has been going on for a while and I thought I could just get rid of the comments that are like this and continue on with my day, but apparently that just ain't the case.
I'm just going to say this now: If you ever want to comment on my stuff, PLEASE have the comment be something about THE ARTWORK. Critiques and Input, a question, a silly comment related to it, ANYTHING that isn't just "Hi" or "GIMME A REQUEST NOW". Comments like this are immediately going to be deleted, and I may even block users that do this constantly. I hate to block people but frankly, I feel that may be the only option I have to make this stop.
That's the end of my little vent post. Apologies if ya feel a bit bummed out reading this or whatever. I just needed to get this off my chest.

Do you take requests?
Okay, I'm not going to mention any names but I just want to say something in regards to this.
I only take requests and suggestions from MUTUAL FRIENDS.
If you still wish to send suggestions, send it THROUGH DM'S.
I know I'm going to sound like "that guy" but I am sick and tired of getting comments on stuff I post, only for it to be some random person or follower saying "Hi" or "Do you take requests". I hate having to bring this stuff up, but now I feel like I have to at least set up some rules for this.
I mean, I'm glad it's not someone trying to RP on the picture's comments, but still.
Okay ever since Eclipse dropped, one major complaint I've seen regarding it, is something along the lines of this: "Where's the Download button?! Why'd you remove it?!"
Actually, that's not the case. The download button is there, it just doesn't appear automatically.
Let me explain: When you post an image or a story, you NEVER see any of the customization items when it comes to sorting them out, and unfortunately that also applies to stuff like whether or not you want the ability for others to download said images.
So, here's what you do. Once you post your Deviation, go to edit its info and you should see the download option on the top right unchecked. Checkmark it if you want it on and once you update it, the download button will appear on your deviation page.
I've seen a bunch of people confused when it comes to this so please, pass this journal around if you're having trouble or confusion regarding this. I don't understand why it's not on by default but that's how this dumb system is I guess.
